restrictive breakfast tired decor
The breakfast arrangement felt restrictive. drinks were limited to one mug of instant coffee. though spoons were on the table, cereal was absent. It wasn't a free-flowing self-serve buffet type. the decoration was unusual, with original plastered ceilings and a dark hall, and many different styles throughout. it felt old fashioned and tired.

friendly host cozy room
Chris was very friendly and helpful. He provided excellent local information about dining options. The room was compact, cozy, and warm. We needed nothing .
The tv had only BBC channels. I would have liked more choice.

The guesthouse had a quirky and homely atmosphere. The location is perfect for accessing nearby activities. The hotel is well-situated for walking to the ferry terminal (that's really convenient).

dusty baseboards unclean carpet
The location was great. It made getting around easy.
The room needed some attention. I noticed the carpet was not thoroughly cleaned and there was dust on the baseboards. It was disappointing.

the location is a short walk to many restaurants. the room was clean and tidy. i was greeted by chris who was very cute and helpful. he provided useful information on local attractions.
