the location was good for sightseeing in the gion area there was good transportation via buses and train to temples and shrines i found plenty of nearby convenience stores the staff was also courteous and very warm and helpful

the bathroom seemed like a plastic capsule it seemed like one might have in an old cruise ship the sink overlapped the shower and tub there was no lobby just a reception area and the breakfast area this area remained closed most of the day

the room was small i anticipated a bigger space the bathroom seemed like a capsule it reminded me of an old cruise ship breakfast was limited to rolls packaged margarine and instant coffee

fantastic gion stay!

convenient location helpful staff blackout shades

the location seriously couldn't be better, right in gion! i could easily reach all the sights. the staff was super helpful, even giving me tips on local spots. my room had everything i needed, especially those blackout shades!

the breakfast options are a little limited, though the pastries were good

the hotel offers complimentary luggage storage before and after check-in and i found it really useful. there is also a drink machine with drip option for water bottles in each room. i appreciated this environmentally conscious feature. access to local maps is provided.

the staff provides helpful tips on local attractions. assistance with directions is readily available at the front desk. the reception can provide adapters for outlets upon request, so you are never without power for your devices.

Rooms include a kettle and coffee maker. This made mornings so much easier! the rooms are equipped with easy to use windows and shades. adjustable settings allowed for full blackout or a well-lit interior, it was amazing.
