inconsistent service and worn-out room
worn carpetgrubby shower
I found the service inconsistent. i had to wait too long for dinner on two nights. the carpets on the stairs looked worn. also, the bathroom shower needed new sealant. It was grubby. the price was too high for the state of the room.

I found the location excellent. It was a short walk to the town centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. They provided good service. Breakfast had a reasonable choice of food.
The pipes in my room made loud noises intermittently. It was disturbing. The light pull in my bathroom was strangely positioned. I found the string had to be draped over the door.

the staff gave a warm welcome. the hotel was clean, neat, and tidy. the food was good and well-priced. it is the right distance from the city center, quite walkable but quiet once back at the hotel. the free parking was useful.
the decoration of the room was a bit dull.

the double room was very comfy and tidy. it had plenty of plug sockets for charging devices. the bathroom was starting to look a little tired, but it was still functional and clean.

I had a generous breakfast with good filter coffee. gluten-free food options were available. the hotel bar and restaurant were spacious and cute. the menu looked delicious. I wish i had tried it.

the hotel provides free parking, a definite plus. the location is excellent, near the city center. there is a wooded area next to the hotel, ideal for walks. it is a quiet and calm environment.
