excellent stay with thoughtful touches
beautiful view continental breakfast convenient location kind upgrade
I booked for one night but extended to two. The double window room provided beautiful views. sarah offered a kind upgrade to a room with fantastic views. i was surprised by the complimentary continental breakfast left each morning. johnny doughs is conveniently located across from the castle near the waterfront.
the street noise was noticeable due to the lack of double glazing in the room.

The location is excellent for exploring. the hotel is across from the castle. it is just a few minutes walk from the waterfront and the shops. This makes it really convenient.

the team was very friendly, and check-in was easy. sarah kindly upgraded me to a room with great views. the housekeeper was super helpful. i found the staff to be very accommodating.

The delivered breakfast included a croissant. It also had fresh fruit. The bathroom was clean. I noted good water pressure in the shower.
I noticed the stairs. They might be difficult for people with mobility issues.

The staff was friendly and helpful. They even left a breakfast goodie bag, such a nice touch! i got a room with a gorgeous view of the castle and harbour. the room was also very clean (super clean!)
the stairs had carpets that seemed a bit baggy, i thought it needed refitting, but it wasn't a big deal.

central location delicious pizza breakfast box fresh fruit
this hotel had a nice location near the castle and quay. walking to the train station was easy. the goat cheese pizza at the on-site restaurant was good. a breakfast box came to my room each morning, it had fresh fruit and a croissant.
the stairs were a bit challenging. i have some mobility issues but made it up and down.

fantastic stay!
convenient location friendly staff warm room extra large bed
the location is fantastic i could easily visit the castle since it was catty corner from our room and parking was only 100 m away this made everything so convenient i loved the fresh breakfast they delivered right to the room. the staff were extra helpful and friendly they really were pretty good too.
the stairs and corridors are old but this didn't really bother me the room more than made up for it
