the room was very spacious. plenty of wardrobe space was available. fine views of the fells were visible from the room. the breakfasts were delicious and the quality of items was great (especially the salmon).
the room was very dated and old fashioned. the furnishings were not modern. the bathroom also seemed a bit dated. the water pressure in the shower was not good.

Really good Stay

convenient parkingquick walkgreat staff
The hotel had a convenient parking area located at the hotel's rear. It was a quick five-minute walk to the town center from the hotel. I chose a large double room that featured a lovely view. Hotel standards are excellent, and the staff is great.
The heating was a slight issue. My room felt cold, even fully clothed under the bed.
Location
9/10
This location is spot on. The front of the building has some steps. A rear entrance is just up a sloped road, and it provides easy access, therefore guests can take their pick.
Facilities
9/10
My room was roomy and very comfortable, furthermore it offered a fantastic mountain view. There was plenty of space available in the hotel car park. I didn't drive again until departing mid-afternoon.
Service
10/10
The reception staff were friendly and offered me a choice between a room on the second floor or the top floor. I found the quality of the breakfast items to be delicious and each item was brought to me, nice.

The receptionist was very helpful with advice. The location is great for access to town.
I had to pay for parking. It should have been included. The bathroom was not clean, with grime along the wall and floor. The hotel seems dated and it needs a refurb.
