Historical Charm and Cute Service

kind staff clean room transporter bridge view private parking
The reception staff were kind and gave detailed explanations about the area (that was quite helpful). I found the room spacious and clean, really super clean. The Transporter Bridge view from my room was wonderful, actually the bridge is quite something. Private parking in the rear courtyard was convenient, although access required careful maneuvering with a larger car.
There was a slight noise from traffic overnight, though not too bad.
Service
9/10
The team offered a warm welcome and were enthusiastic about the hotel's history. Staff accommodated requests, offering help with taxis and area information, actually they did their best. The owner seemed dedicated to guest satisfaction.
Dining
8/10
Although food facilities are limited, the included breakfast had a good selection of items. (The sausages were great!). The breakfast room was bright and tidy, actually I appreciated that.
Facilities
9/10
Private parking is available behind the hotel in a rear courtyard. The hotel has historical significance. The building was previously a dockers pub. Learning about the Transporter Bridge (just across the road) added interest.
Rooms
9/10
My room included modern furniture and high-quality carpeting. The room was spacious and well kept, very reassuring. Comfortable beds ensured a restful sleep .

Updated Characterful Stay

older character comfortable bed interior room
The building had an older character that was updated. The staff was great and my bicycle stayed safe in an interior room. I appreciated the clean room with a comfortable bed.
The area around this building looks a bit rundown though the building itself is acceptable.
Rooms
9/10
My twin room was large, clean, and had a very nice bathroom. The provided bed was comfortable, and the room temperature was easy to adjust. The room also was quiet.
Location
8/10
The location provides convenient access to nearby attractions and transport. The immediate surroundings include some local shops, but not many. It's a short distance into town for more options though.
Dining
8/10
There is a nice bar downstairs. the kitchen was closed . This meant I needed to find alternative options for my meals, though several restaurants are a short walk away.
Service
10/10
The staff team was really friendly and helpful. They even ordered a takeaway for me since there is no on-site kitchen. Their responsiveness.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel provided ear plugs due to street noise from lorries. The view of the iconic Transporter Bridge from my room was great though. Free parking was available.

Acceptable, but needs improvements

The staff were helpful and friendly, which I did appreciate.
The TV was ancient and offered only eight channels (hard to believe in this day and age). The internet connection was also painfully slow.
