i found the food excellent, both for breakfast and from the a la carte menu. the carvery was served regularly and tasted very good. the alternative menu was varied and i enjoyed all my choices. the staff were very friendly, too.

The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The breakfast included locally sourced items, a detail I appreciated. My room was super clean and well kept. I enjoyed the home made chicken, ham and leek pie and banoffee pie.
The dated decor and a trouser press in the room gave it a 70s atmosphere. The hot tap sputtered wildly.

The double room included a private bathroom and was clean. It provided necessary amenities for a comfortable visit. New decoration improved the room's condition. The bed was also brand new. The super clean presentation added positively to my experience.
