surprising stay in a room

i stayed for a few nights and the room was a standard double room. the breakfast was excellent and i really enjoyed the cooked menu. the atmosphere was very relaxed, especially by the log burner.

i found a good number of bugs in the room and it made my stay unpleasant.

my room was excellently decorated and very clean, which i appreciated. the standard double room was comfortable and i had a nice stay. the room was perfect overall.

The room felt quite small it wasn't the relaxing space I hoped for. I found hairs in the shower it was a little unsettling. The breakfast service felt disorganized nobody seemed to know what to do. I also noticed a musty smell in the hallway perhaps some dampness needs addressing.

the staff were friendly and accommodating. the food in the restaurant was delicious and portions were generous. breakfast included a full english and they catered to our early schedule. they even drove us to the train station, which i appreciated.

there was some traffic noise , made sleeping a bit difficult.

The location was easy to find and it was a perfect driving distance to windermere. This made exploring the lake district very convenient. it sits in a rural spot, away from the main town.
