Really good stay near the lake

amazing staffvery nice porchperfect breakhazard railing
Igor and Mary Clare provided wonderful service. I found the porch very nice. It featured a matching view. I appreciated the bookshelves. Every item told a story. The experience transported us through time. I felt fully pampered.
The hotel management needs to fix the railing at the front porch. It seems a hazard. Someone could get hurt if it gives way. I hope it is fixed soon.

really good locationbreakfast disappointmentadditional butter
The hotel's location was acceptable, directly across from the water.
The breakfast wasn't quite right. My request for an egg choice was met with a simple "scrambled" and that was that.. additional butter tasted a bit past its prime.

Acceptable Location , Disappointing Room

close locationsmall roommissing amenities
The location was acceptable , as it was close to the lake.
The room was small and lacked a view. I could clearly hear guests walking and showering above me. The absence of any complimentary drinks or snacks was disappointing , especially given the room rate.

The location proved unbeatable, offering a quick walk to town. it was right by the lake. The host was approachable. i found the hotel exceedingly clean, so i felt very comfortable throughout my stay. we also enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine for our inconvenience, a nice touch.
the bedside tables were small. i also thought breakfast was pedestrian, specifically holiday inn style. i wish it were better.
