surprised by the value!
helpful supportearly check
the location was convenient, i could easily walk to places. the support staff was helpful, they were very nice. i even received an early check in and an upgraded room, i was charmed. the price was really reliable for what i got.

the staff was very friendly, especially at check in. i liked the location a lot because i could easily walk to nearby areas. the free wifi was quite useful for planning my day.
the noise from other guests was sometimes noticeable late at night. it wasn't really a big issue, but earplugs might help sensitive sleepers.

the room had a large bed, and it was quite comfortable. there was also a recently updated bathroom, a nice surprise. i also saw a small television.

the guest house is located on a main road, so it was easy to find. there were several shops and restaurants nearby. it was a convenient location for getting around.

broken mattress basedirty mattress
I found the mattress base to be broken, a significant discomfort. the mattress itself was also dirty, unacceptable. furthermore, i could not shut the window properly. This was a security concern and affected sleep quality.

The staff was lovely and even granted my request for an early check-in. They upgraded my room, an unexpected treat. I found the price really good for what was offered, I really did.
There was a light musty scent on the sheets

Acceptable stay for the price

I liked that the check in staff were friendly. Our room had been updated recently. The location allowed a 40 mins walk to Heaton Park. This was great value for money. It was cheap and cheerful.
The walls and floors looked disgusting. I saw brown stains on the walls. Only one tap worked in the bathroom. The room had definitely not been cleaned before our stay.
