peranakan styleamazing shadelocal history
I LOVED the Peranakan style. The inner courtyard offered AMAZING shade. The little museum room helped me learn some local history

The location was very convenient. It was easy to get around the area. Breakfast included a nice variety of local food (I especially enjoyed the egg counter). The staff was friendly and helpful.
The air conditioning remote needed new batteries. I was freezing because I could not adjust the temperature. The room telephone did not work. I was told the telephone company was testing a new system (it would have been nice to know beforehand).

the location was excellent! it was very close to jonker street and other attractions. parking was very convenient and near the hotel. the staff was helpful with directions, and they offered suggestions for local restaurants.
The breakfast was fairly basic. The coffee COULD have been stronger.

i appreciated the hotel's private parking, made arrival easy. the central location provided convenient access to attractions. the breakfast included a variety of local dishes and had an egg station (i loved trying new things!).
the soundproofing could be improved, i could hear some street noise.

broken telephoneshower hole
The room telephone did not work, so I could not call for help with the air conditioning. It rang at midnight and again at 2:30 AM, waking us. Staff said the telephone company was testing a new system. The hotel did not warn us. The shower area ceiling had a hole, and the towel rack felt flimsy.

I appreciated the breakfast, it included local flavors. The hotel has a Baba and Nyonya influence. Staff were friendly to needs. Puri Spa is a perfect addition after a day of walking Jonker Street.
The room itself was quite dark. I found the access to the rooms convoluted. The toilet seemed not very clean.
