kind staff free drinks
The staff was always kind and ready to assist! they provided free soft drinks and tea throughout the day. the happy hour each evening was a nice treat too. I liked the selection of drinks available for one hour.

The location allowed for convenient access to the train station for airport transfers. Exploring the Namba area was simple thanks to the location. I found the staff lovely and i appreciated their help. Happy hour was a nice bonus.
The room was dusty, and the bathroom had a moldy smell. The bathtub was not sealed. Shower water could come through holes causing mold. The 24 hr bathroom ventilation sometimes made LOUD vibration noises, which i found disruptive.

the staff was helpful i needed directions and they provided a clear map. the laundry room was convenient i used the efficient dryer. breakfast included free access to a soft drink vending machine this was a lifesaver on hot days.

Acceptable Stay with Some Disappointments
mold air conditioning hard bed
The breakfast had a good variety of choices. It included pastries, fresh fruit, and yogurt.
The air conditioning in my room smelled of mold. This made the small space unpleasant. I was told I could not open the window to air it out, because insects would come in. The bed was very hard, and my back hurt after sleeping on it for several nights.

convenient location and friendly staff
convenient location free drinks
the hotel's location was convenient (a short walk to kyoto station!). the staff was friendly and helpful, i appreciated the free soft drinks during the day. the happy hour with free drinks was a nice touch to end the day. the beds were comfortable and the room felt spacious for japan.
i noticed an unpleasant smell in the room, likely from a nearby enzyme bath spa. purchasing essential oils for the humidifier helped mask the odor. the hotel might consider addressing this issue more proactively.

the hotel is within walking distance of the train station, maybe 10 to 15 minutes. some bus stops are nearby, these provide easy access to sightseeing spots. the hotel is not located near many cafés.

convenient location lovely touch small room strong smell
I found the location quite convenient I could walk to the Gion area easily. Drinks were included for an hour each afternoon that was a lovely touch.
The room was smaller than I expected the bathroom felt quite cramped. I noticed a strong smell when I walked into the hotel maybe it came from a nearby factory.
