The room smelled quite a bit like the kitchen, presumably because of its location above the cooking area. The included breakfast only covered one item from the menu, so ordering porridge as a starter would incur an additional charge, it seemed quite stingy! i also noticed that one of the lightbulbs was flickering quite persistently. It was distracting!

The staff offered helpful suggestions for local takeaways. i appreciated that plates and cutlery were provided. It made our meal very convenient. the hotel offered a warm welcome to our dog. a dog bed and bowl were available.
the window had a single pane, so the sounds from outside were quite audible. this was slightly disruptive during the night.
