i found the shared kitchen very useful, it allowed me to prepare my own meals. the option to store luggage after checkout was very convenient for exploring more. i appreciated the big communal spaces. the staff was helpful with directions and local tips!
The wifi signal in the room was sometimes weak. I had to move closer to the corridor for a better connection.

The provided towels were small and thin. They barely served the purpose of drying after a shower. The noise from the street below was noticeable, especially late at night. It made sleep difficult at times. Earplugs are definitely recommended.

The facility has a clean common room for dining and relaxation. the location is amazing. The next metro station is a 2-minute walk, and the neighborhood is nice. dotombori is about 15 minutes away on foot. the staff was always nice and very helpful to everyone. the room was silent at night, so sleep was not disturbed.
the female-only bathrooms were not locked, so anyone could enter.

The female-only bathrooms weren't secure. No card access or anything. anyone could just wander in. also, the amenities weren't as plentiful as other hostels i've crashed at in japan. it felt a bit stingy compared to tokyo or kyoto, honestly.

the shared toilet emitted an odor, noticeable (it was not overwhelming, but still present).
