underwhelming experience
musty odorinconsistent housekeeping
i was disappointed with my stay. the room had a noticeable musty odor. the promised daily housekeeping was inconsistent, i had to request fresh towels one day. also, the noise from the nearby train tracks was more disruptive than i anticipated, it made it difficult to sleep.

The staff greeted us warmly. Dian, the concierge. Our train car room featured period decor and a spacious bathroom. The hotel has a pool, a restaurant, and a pool bar in a caboose.

the grounds were beautiful with meticulous landscaping i enjoyed quiet moments near the fountains and the serene atmosphere added a special touch to my stay the train car restoration was excellent and the room felt unique and charming i found the proximity to nearby restaurants very convenient with many options within walking distance. the staff provided great service making me feel welcome and attended to throughout my visit
the pool area became quite crowded during peak hours potentially limiting space for relaxation

elsie's daughter offered a good dinner experience with a varied menu it featured local ingredients the adjacent bar provided welcome drinks with a relaxing atmosphere i found the breakfast pastries to be quite fresh.

the pool, while small, was well kept and heated, a welcome amenity the fitness center included modern equipment for a basic workout the hotel offered complimentary shuttle service to nearby attractions and free wifi was available throughout the hotel.

The location was excellent. Many restaurants and attractions were nearby. I could easily walk to dinner. The bathroom was spacious (I really liked the tile).
The staff was not very friendly when I checked in. I didn't even get a smile. there was no complimentary coffee available during the day, only the packs in the room. I didn't find that coffee the best.

My stay lasted three nights, and the location worked well. I liked being close to several restaurants (Elsie's Daughter was great!). The bathroom had strong water pressure in the shower, which i found nice.
I noticed there was no complimentary coffee in the day or evening. Only packs were left in my room, and it wasn't the best coffee. The air conditioning was quite loud, a little disturbing.
